Now I really liked this block because there is no triangles ( I like simple shapes and patterns), however, I kind of did this one wrong. At first glance nothing seems wrong but the nine patch in the middle didn't turn out quit right. It's hard for me because I didn't want everyone in the whole world to see my mistake. I cringe because I know it is not my best work. Why even show it? Perhaps I am being too hard on myself, perhaps its that side of me that demands perfection We are all fallible and no one is perfect. I have learned from my mistake and will just have to revisit this one again someday, just not today. But here's the block anyway.
The orange floral print is a soft creamy orange and reminds me of elementary school, recess and creamsicles. Yum! I could go for one right now.

Shoofly (Block #9)
Today's block, Shoofly is a oldie but goodie. And might I add makes a delicious pie as well. The pie is similar to that of a pecan pie. The pie was so sweet that flies would have to constantly be shooed away. The Shoofly quilt block doesn't perhaps resemble anything thing like a pie or a fly for that matter. I wonder how and why whoever first designed this blcok chose the particular design. It makes a great beginner block I chose a bright blue and yellow butterfly fabric from my scrap bin to make this block. It certainly brightens up a relatively simple block.
